They hate him because they are jealous of him!! Either that or their lives are just so pathetic that they have to pick on someone else to make them feel better about themselves!! You are right about the gold diggers too, I think they should be in jail!! I am also sick of everyone saying that he bleached his skin, I mean common sense tells you that if you put bleach on your skin then it will either make you really sick or kill you!! Michael Jackson is not the freak, the haters are!!

MJ gave the jacket to a 14 year old named David Smithy
David was dying of cystic fibrosis and Michael gave him two gifts – the red Beat It jacket MJ wore in the video and the black sequinned glove he had worn to the American Music Awards earlier that year.
David's name also appears in the thank you list on BAD.

Well, I think the way you phrased your question is insulting, BUT you do have a point. That is that Obama voters seem to be "jumping on the boat" simply because the idea of the "first black president" is exciting. Mr. Obama IS articulate and well spoken, which impresses the easily impressed…BUT it's hard to pinpoint any real accomplishments in the political arena. As a senator, his record as a Senator isn't very impressive. He heads no committees and is a member in 3, I believe. He shows up to vote on issues a little more than 1/2 the time and just doesn't seem interested in serving as a representative to the people who elected him. I'm not impressed, but a lot of people are overlooking that. I don't understand why?

As far as I ever knew, he was a Jehovah's Witness, he did spend some time in Bahrain as a guest of Sheik Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa after his last legal struggle. His visit to a mostly Muslim country may have given rise to these rumors, if he actually converted or not, I don't know. He always seemed serious about his spirituality, even to putting a disclaimer at the beginning of his Thriller video to the effect that he had strong religious convictions and did not believe in the occult. He had an active mind, and it would not seem out of character for him to have studied Islam or the Koran while visiting a Muslim country. Studying a religion other than your own is in no way an indication of conversion, however, there is speculation on the web that he converted, but studying and converting are two different things, and he always came over as interested in learning about such things. I find it likely that he studied Islam, but unlikely that he converted. I have not been able to find any evidence that Michael converted to Islam, but his brother Jermaine did convert to Islam in 1989. In reading Wikipedia articles about the Jackson family, the entry under Jermaine starts as identifying him by his Muslim name Muhammad Abdul-Aziz, born Jermaine LaJaune Jackson, none of the other articles on the Jacksons in Wikipedia identify any other members of the family in this way, if any other members had converted and adopted Muslim names, then I would think the article would have identified them by these names, as they had Jermaine. In Michael's article, he is identified only as Michael Joseph Jackson. It is likely he may have taken an interest in Islam along the way because of Jermaine.

Its not about who's better then who
I mean both are significant artists of their time
I respect both.
Michael Jackson bought for $47.5 million in 1985 was the publishing rights to 159 or 251 Beatles songs, depending on who's counting. To maybe oversimplify a complicated business, publishing rights are basically the sheet music rights. When Paul McCartney wanted to print the lyrics to "Eleanor Rigby" and other Beatles classics in the program for his 1989 world tour, he discovered he'd have to pay a fee to Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson, being the publisher doesn't have all that much control over the songs owned; mainly it gives him the right to the profits they earn. He doesn't even get to keep all of that; typically he has to give 50% to each song's composer(s), one reason not to feel too sorry for Paul McCartney and the estate of John Lennon. Another reason is that McCartney, despite having gotten skunked out of his own songs, contrived to buy the rights to 3,000 others, including the Buddy Holly catalog, and reportedly is worth $600 million. Thats some serious cash, huh?
Not that he's happy, of course. Paul's mad at Michael Jackson not merely because he lost control of the Beatles library but also because Jackson won't discuss giving McCartney a higher composer's royalty for the old tunes.
